The Council of Ministers, at its session held on Tuesday morning and chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, decided to approve the conduct of tax settlements between taxpayers and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority in accordance with the provisions of the law. This decision is based on the settlement principles governing outstanding claims between taxpayers and violators and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority for the year 2022.

The decision stipulates that the taxpayers concerned must commit to paying all remaining amounts owed by them within a period of two months from the date of its issuance.
The decision aims to stimulate and sustain economic activities in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone, facilitate their operations, and enable those operating within it to regularize their tax status.
