King and Crown Prince Attend Religious Event Marking 1,500 Years Since the Birth of the Prophet
His Majesty King Abdullah II and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II on Wednesday attended a religious event held at Al Husseiniya Palace to mark the 1,500th anniversary of the birth of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, which falls this Friday, the 12th of Rabi’ al-Awwal 1447 AH.اضافة اعلان

The event featured recitations from the Holy Quran, including Al-Fatiha, Ayat al-Kursi, and verses in which God addresses His Messenger Muhammad (peace be upon him) from the chapters of Al Imran, Al-Tawbah, Al-Anbiya, Al-Ahzab, Ya-Sin, Al-Fath, as well as Surahs Al-Duha, Al-Sharh, Al-Kawthar, Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, and Al-Nas.

This was followed by the recital of verses from the poem “Al-Madihah Al-Nabawiyyah – Qafiyat al-Hamzah” composed by the late His Majesty King Abdullah I, the Founder, may his soul rest in peace, in praise of his revered ancestor, the greatest Arab Hashemite Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

The event was attended by a number of Their Royal Highnesses the princes, heads of the authorities, senior officials, as well as Muslim scholars and Christian clergy.
