Amman – His Majesty King Abdullah II met with Ireland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Defence, Helen McEntee, on Wednesday, in the presence of Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II.

The meeting, held at Al-Husseiniya Palace, discussed deepening Jordan-Ireland relations and ways to strengthen cooperation across various fields to serve both friendly nations and promote regional stability.
His Majesty emphasized the importance of enhancing the strategic partnership with the European Union, highlighting the significance of building on the outcomes of the first Jordan-EU Summit held in Amman last week.
The discussion also covered regional and international developments. His Majesty stressed the need to fully implement the Gaza ceasefire agreement and warned of the dangers of escalation in the West Bank and Jerusalem, while appreciating Ireland’s support for the just and legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, His Majesty’s Chief of Staff Engineer Alaa Batayneh, and Ireland’s Ambassador to Jordan, Marian Bulger.
