Jordan records 809 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Sunday reached 16, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 809 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Sunday, bringing the death toll to 9,259 and the caseload to 724,154.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Sunday’s tally, the ministry said:

276 in Amman
163 in Irbid
75 in Zarqa
64 in Maan
42 in Ajloun
41 in Balqa
36 in Mafraq
30 in Karak
23 in Aqaba
22 in Jerash
21 in Tafileh
16 in Madaba

The ministry added in a statement that some 74 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 77 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 11,253, according to the ministry’s statement.

Around 4.22 percent of the 19,177 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
