The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) confirmed that 65 humanitarian aid trucks entered the Gaza Strip during the past week out of 150 trucks that had been prepared.اضافة اعلان

The organization explained that less than half of the trucks dispatched from Jordan are permitted to cross, amid ongoing obstacles that include the closure of the crossing before all trucks are processed, daily delays in the start of inspection procedures, and the rejection of certain items despite having prior approvals through the designated coordination platform.

In a statement issued today, Sunday, the JHCO clarified that its warehouses are filled with essential relief supplies. However, the process of loading and reloading items from its warehouses to the King Hussein Bridge has become exhausting and repetitive on a daily basis due to continued delays and the prevention of trucks from entering at the necessary pace.

The organization stressed that it is exerting strong and continuous pressure to deliver more aid, emphasizing that what is happening in Gaza today constitutes a blatant violation of all international and humanitarian laws and norms.

For his part, JHCO Secretary-General Dr. Hussein Shibli affirmed that what is unfolding in Gaza today is a humanitarian crime that contravenes all international agreements.

“We are facing a catastrophic humanitarian situation—children, women, and the elderly are besieged without food or medicine, amid systematic destruction and displacement,” he said.

He stressed that Jordan will continue knocking on every door and intensifying its efforts to deliver aid, as Gaza today requires a global awakening of conscience before what remains of its humanity and existence is erased.
