According to owners of tourism offices and companies interviewed by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), there's a notable uptick in demand for domestic tourism packages, particularly for overnight stays in Aqaba, Wadi Rum, and the rose-red city of Petra, as well as day trips to northern regions and the Ajloun cable car.

Emphasizing the need for comprehensive program development, these stakeholders stressed the importance of covering all governorates of the Kingdom, catering to diverse preferences, and advocating for increased events and festivals across regions. They also highlighted the significance of enhancing tourism infrastructure, ensuring visitor comfort at tourist and archaeological sites, and maintaining cleanliness standards.

To meet this heightened demand, tourism companies are intensifying marketing efforts and offering competitive prices for their programs, including affordable accommodations in three- and four-star hotels, as well as readily available tourist buses.

Acknowledging the impact of the "Urdun Jannah" program in driving domestic tourism, industry insiders underscored its role in benefiting all domestic tourism offices.

Furthermore, they underscored the intrinsic value of domestic tourism, which presents an opportunity for locals to explore Jordan's rich array of tourist and archaeological sites, fostering cultural awareness and stimulating economic activity across governorates.

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has announced plans to organize numerous events in Hashemite Plaza during the second and third days of Eid Al-Fitr, featuring family-friendly performances and activities.
