Jordan COVID-19 positivity rate stands at 5.91%

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 2,596 new COVID-19 cases and 16 new deaths on Thursday, bringing the total death toll to 11,183 and the total number of cases to 886,042.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 998 cases, while Zarqa recorded 263 cases. Irbid registered 486 cases, Balqa 172 cases, Karak recorded 119 cases, Jerash recorded 69 cases, and Tafileh recorded 49 cases. Madaba registered 78 cases, Aqaba 103, Ramtha 86 and Ajloun 76.

The ministry said in a statement that 58 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 123 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 27,700 according to the ministry. Out of 43,920 COVID-19 tests conducted Thursday, 5.91 percent of them came back positive.
