Int’l response to refugee crisis in Jordan does not exceed 4% of needs — Faraya

AMMAN — The international response to Jordan’s Syrian refugee crisis needs did not exceed 4 percent, Minister of Interior Mazen Al-Faraya said on Sunday, calling for international support to help Jordan in pursuing its humanitarian mission towards refugees.اضافة اعلان

During a visit to the Department of Syrian Refugees Affairs, Faraya pointed out the fatigue which some United Nations agencies, including the World Food Program, have reached requires raising the alarm over dangerous ramifications deeming, which would leave many homeless and unable to secure their basic needs, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The minister said that the voluntary return is the optimal solution to all refugee crises. However, only 50,000 people have returned to Syria since the borders reopening in 2018, which calls for an international compressive plan to meet the requirements that would allow Syrians to return to their home country.
