"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful,
Colleagues,

We are all fully aware of the significance of the draft Social Security Law as one of the most pivotal laws affecting every Jordanian family, every worker, employee, employer, every youth seeking an opportunity, and every retiree who built this nation with their effort and sweat.

From this standpoint, I assure our dear Jordanian people and all stakeholders that the House of Representatives understands that this law is not just a legal draft; it is a pillar of social safety and economic stability. Therefore, we will approach it with the utmost national responsibility and seriousness, away from haste or impulsive decisions. We will subject it to meticulous and objective scrutiny to safeguard our national interests.

I affirm from this platform that once the law is referred to the specialized committee, the Council will initiate an extensive national dialogue. We will listen to all perspectives without exception—from labor and professional unions, political parties, civil society organizations, economists, experts, chambers of commerce and industry, and employers' representatives. Simultaneously, we are committed to discussing all diverse opinions thoroughly and with a responsible national sense to refine this project and produce it in a manner that reflects its gravity.

In this regard, should the law be referred to the specialized committee, I will personally attend most of their meetings alongside my colleagues—the chair and members—to support their efforts and monitor the dialogue firsthand, thereby strengthening national consensus around this vital legislation.

Colleagues,
The House of Representatives is cognizant of the critical importance of actuarial studies in maintaining the long-term viability and financial sustainability of the Social Security Corporation. However, we will not overlook the protection of the rights of beneficiaries, retirees, and subscribers. Our primary mission is to strike a delicate balance between the institution's sustainability and its fairness, ensuring the protection of its funds while fostering public trust, without harming citizens' rights or imposing additional burdens upon them.

Colleagues,
Today, we face a great national responsibility. We shall work in a spirit of partnership, dialogue, and transparency to arrive at a law that strengthens social protection, safeguards the rights of current and future generations, and enshrines the principles of justice and equity while ensuring the continuity of the Social Security Corporation."
