The Committee of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), chaired by Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, has decided to extend the implementation of the earlier GAM Council Resolution No. (57). The resolution grants a 20% discount on the residual land price when paid in cash after completing procedures, as well as a 20% discount on outstanding installments if settled in cash. This decision follows the expiration of the previous deadline on April 30 and aligns with GAM’s policy of facilitating procedures for citizens and alleviating their financial burdens.

During the same session, the committee also approved:

A student training agreement with Princess Sumaya University for Technology.

The renewal of a cooperation and information exchange agreement with Jordan Water Company/Miyahuna.

A cooperation agreement with the Al-Naseem Municipal Committee to improve traffic violation collection services.

Additionally, the committee approved the launch of the fifth edition of the Habeeb Al-Zyoudi Literary Award, covering classical Arabic poetry, Nabati poetry, short stories, and the best poem by Arabs residing in Jordan, as part of its support for cultural creativity.

Meanwhile, Eng. Khaldoun Al-Khalidi, Acting Director-General of the Department of Lands and Survey, took the legal oath as a member of the GAM Committee.
