Nasser Al-Tamimi, a
brother of Saif, said that the last time he was able to get in touch with his
brother was two weeks ago, “and now we don’t anything about him.”
Tamimi said that the
power went off in the city where his brother lived as a result of bombing a
power plant, which cut off communications, calling on the ministry to contact
Ukrainian and Russian authorities to secure a safe return for his brother.
Ministry of Foreign
Affairs and Expatriate’s spokesperson Haitham Abu Al-Foul said that water,
power, and telecommunications have been cut off in Mariupol city, which has
become center stage of military activities.
The ministry
meanwhile has been attempting to find a channel of communication between
Jordanians in Ukraine and the operation center, which is working to secure safe
exist for Jordanians stranded in Ukraine, according to Abu Al-Foul. So far, the ministry has secured a getaway to
Ukraine’s neighboring countries for 1,268 Jordanians, and the effort is
ongoing.
