AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister
of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi met with Emirati counterpart
Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and State Secretary of the Swiss Federal
Department of Foreign Affairs Livia Leu Agosti, according to the Jordan News
Agency, Petra.

The meeting took place in New York on the sidelines
of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.
A ministry statement said Wednesday that Safadi
participated in a meeting on regional stability and cooperation in the Middle
East hosted by Norwegian Foreign Minister Anniken Huitfeldt.
The ministry noted that Safadi signed a memorandum
of understanding with his Serbian counterpart to advance collaboration between
the two countries.
Safadi and
Commissioner-General of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine refugees
in the Near East Philippe Lazzarini went over the preparations for a
ministerial meeting, organized by Jordan and Sweden next Thursday in New York.
