The Administration called on school canteen operators to apply the highest food safety standards and health requirements for food handling. Key measures include restricting food sales to permitted items in accordance with approved conditions and instructions, as well as relying on reliable, licensed suppliers for canteen food shipments.

The JFDA also stressed the importance of adhering to health requirements regarding food handling, preservation, and storage.

It highlighted the necessity of avoiding the preparation or sale of products containing meat and its derivatives—processed or unprocessed—such as shawarma, burgers, sausages, and cold cuts (mortadella), in addition to banning the sale of energy drinks inside school canteens.

Furthermore, the Administration urged parents to carefully select appropriate items for home-prepared school meals, avoid foods requiring refrigeration (such as meat, eggs, or dairy), and encourage students to make healthy food choices.

School students will begin the 2026–2027 academic year on Sunday, according to the approved calendar previously announced by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development.

Teaching staff reported to work a week ago to finalize preparations for the new school year, which included setting up classrooms and facilities, preparing and distributing textbooks, compiling student lists and teaching plans, allocating class sections, and registering transfer students.
