The agency stated that obtaining special permission for Iraqi tankers was one of the key demands raised by Baghdad during the visit of the Speaker of the Iranian Islamic Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, to Iraq.

During his meeting with Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Haibat Al-Halbousi, emphasized the need to respect Iraq's specific circumstances regarding oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz in a way that safeguards its economic interests amid ongoing regional developments.

Al-Halbousi also called for strengthening relations between Iraq and Iran, activating friendship committees, and developing parliamentary diplomacy between the two countries.
