Trump: Iran Is Not Ready to Reach the Right Deal

WASHINGTON — US President Donald Trump said Friday that he does not believe Iran is ready to reach what he described as “the right deal,” adding that Washington is closely monitoring developments in the ongoing conflict.

Asked whether the United States’ military options regarding Iran were limited, Trump told reporters: “It simply means that we are watching what happens.”

Trump said the United States has “complete control of the entire region” with regard to the Strait of Hormuz, as well as control over large areas of land.

“They very much want to make a deal, but they’re not ready to make the right deal, in my opinion,” Trump said.
