AMMAN — The results of a study exploring the
ability of telecom companies to provide 5G services will be announced next
week, after a period of review,
Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmad Al-Hanandeh said Saturday, according to Jo24.

During his participation in the National Economic
Action Workshop held in the Royal Court, Hanandeh said that such workshops are
directed by King Abdullah to develop a clear, viable, sustainable,
cross-government road map, in accordance with the structure of properly
considered priorities and in partnership between the public and private
sectors.
Hanandeh said that the communications sector is one of
the target sectors in such workshops because it is one of the possible sectors
for developing and empowering other sectors in implementing the transformation
process and contributing effectively in the social and economic development in
Jordan.
He added that the digital environment and
digital empowerment of all sectors had been discussed in order to ensure better
services and an economy for Jordanian citizens, and during the discussion, the
basic environment, services, the legislative environment and data were
addressed.
