In a statement to the Jordan News Agency (Petra), he confirmed that this financing covered a diverse package of programs, most notably funding programs targeting young job seekers of both genders, productive financing programs, and poverty alleviation programs.

He pointed to the fund’s pivotal role in driving local development through financing programs aimed at empowering youth and families and stimulating productive projects, thereby directly contributing to reducing unemployment rates and enhancing economic empowerment.

Awawdeh noted that the repayment rate at the Development and Employment Fund branch in Irbid Governorate reached 96 percent, stressing that this rate reflects beneficiaries’ high level of awareness and commitment to financial responsibility, as well as the success of technical studies and economic feasibility assessments of the financed projects, their sustainability, and their ability to create jobs and improve living conditions.

He added that the fund operates under a comprehensive national vision aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises as key drivers of the national economy. He also noted the continued coordination and cooperation with various official and partner entities in the governorate to ensure that support reaches its intended beneficiaries and that investments are directed toward sectors that meet local community needs.

He explained that the fund’s role is not limited to providing financial financing, but also includes offering technical consultations and conducting on-site project follow-ups to ensure sustainability and growth, in line with the state’s efforts to promote self-reliance and economic empowerment across different segments of society.
