The head of the municipal committee, Emad Al-Azzam, stated that he issued a circular halting the issuance of all types of excavation permits. He held a meeting with excavation contractors and companies implementing electricity, sewage, and water projects, urging them to develop a comprehensive plan to address all problem areas and restore city streets to their original condition in accordance with the municipality’s approved specifications and within the set deadline.
Al-Azzam emphasized that the municipality will hold these companies fully accountable for any damages resulting from recent excavation work.
He also requested that Yarmouk Water Company carry out urgent maintenance on certain manholes that caused several issues during the recent weather depression.
He highlighted that the municipal supervision department has been instructed to closely monitor all citizen complaints reported to the emergency room during the storm and ensure they are resolved promptly without delay.
