In an interview with the Public Security Radio on Wednesday morning, Al-Qadi said, “There are attempts by internal and external groups to infiltrate the citizenry with the aim of undermining our security and stability.”

He added, “Our security agencies operate professionally and confront criminals with extremist ideologies decisively, preempting crimes before they occur.”

In a statement issued by the House of Representatives, Al-Qadi highlighted that Tuesday evening’s security operation in the Ramtha District, carried out by a special force, reflects the high efficiency of Jordan’s security agencies and underscores their constant readiness to protect national security and citizen safety.

He affirmed that the House of Representatives stands united behind His Majesty the King, the Jordanian Armed Forces, and the valiant security agencies, supporting all measures taken to safeguard the country, which remains a stronghold against those seeking to threaten its security and stability.

Al-Qadi noted that the two brothers wanted for extremist ideologies, who opened heavy fire on the raiding security force, injuring three personnel, illustrate the serious threat posed by extremist and outlawed groups, emphasizing the importance of continuing to confront them firmly.

He also stressed that Jordan has faced terrorism at various points in its history—from extremist attempts to target its security and borders to operations aimed at destabilizing internal stability—but has always prevailed, thanks to God, its strong leadership, the strength of its army, the efficiency of its security apparatus, and the awareness of its citizens, who have always been the first line of defense.

Al-Qadi underlined that forces of evil and extremism, regardless of their methods, will not undermine Jordan’s resilience or its internal unity. Jordan will remain, God willing, impervious to any threat, with its loyal sons—from the army, security agencies, and citizens—standing united to defend its dignity and sovereignty, ensuring the nation’s flag flies high and the sacrifices of its protectors illuminate the path of pride and security.

The Public Security Directorate reported that on Tuesday evening, a special security force raided a site in Ramtha District sheltering two brothers wanted for extremist ideologies in connection with important investigative cases.

The Directorate stated that upon arrival, the suspects opened heavy fire on the security force, injuring three personnel who were taken to the hospital.

The rules of engagement were applied, resulting in the killing of the two suspects, who had used their mother as a human shield. The security force managed to evacuate her safely without causing any harm.

The site was searched, and a number of firearms and military equipment were seized.
