The World Cup draw was held Thursday at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. This edition is the largest in the tournament’s history, featuring 48 teams instead of the previous 32.

Jordan’s group includes Argentina, Austria, and Algeria.

The national team qualified for the World Cup for the first time in its history after finishing second in Group B of the Asian qualifiers, behind South Korea.

HRH Prince Ali bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Football Association, headed the Jordanian delegation to the draw, accompanied by the JFA Secretary-General Samar Nassar and Jordan's draw ambassador Abdullah Abu Zema.

U.S. President Donald Trump, Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum, and Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney attended the World Cup draw ceremony.
