The Jordan national football team will play its first match of the Arab Cup on Wednesday, facing the United Arab Emirates at 8 p.m. at Al Bayt Stadium in Doha.

The team is aiming for a strong start that will pave the way for a serious push toward the tournament title, which features the participation of 16 Arab national teams.
Led by Moroccan coach Jamal Sellami, the squad will hold its final training session on Tuesday in preparation for the UAE clash.
Within the group stage, Jordan will next face Kuwait on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium, before concluding its first-round matches against Egypt on Tuesday, December 9, at 5:30 p.m.
Jordan’s 23-man squad for the tournament includes: Yazeed Abu Laila, Nour Bani Atiya, Malik Shalabiya, Abdullah Nasib, Saad Al-Rousan, Salim Obeid, Hossam Abu Thahab, Ali Hijbi, Hadi Al-Hourani, Issam Al-Smeiri, Adham Al-Qureishi, Rajaei Ayed, Amer Jamos, Nizar Al-Rashdan, Ibrahim Saadeh, Mohammad Abu Hashish, Muhannad Abu Taha, Odai Al-Fakhouri, Ahmad Ersan, Mahmoud Mardi, Mohammad Abu Zureiq, Ali Alwan, and Yazan Al-Naimat.
This marks Jordan’s tenth appearance in the Arab Cup. The team first competed in the inaugural 1963 edition held in Lebanon, making it the most frequent participant among Arab national teams.
