According to the report, this figure represents the number of active Jordanian accounts across various social media platforms. While a single user may have multiple accounts on different platforms—or even multiple accounts on the same platform—the count is based on individual users, not the total number of accounts.
The annual report, published by the global platform Datareportal, noted that Jordan added 350,000 active social media users, representing a 5.4% growth compared with roughly 6.45 million active users during the same period last year.
The report also highlighted that as of early November, the number of Internet users in Jordan reached approximately 10.6 million, with a penetration rate of 92.5% of the total population.
Regarding the usage of individual platforms in Jordan:
YouTube, owned by Alphabet, remains the most popular social media platform with about 6.8 million active users, reflecting a 5.4% increase from the same period last year.
Facebook, owned by Meta, is the second most used platform with approximately 5.6 million users, up 3.7% from last year.
Instagram, also owned by Meta, recorded about 4.6 million active users, marking a 16.7% increase year-on-year.
