According to Jo 24, Clinton, who teaches at the university, was met with chants of "Shame on you, shame on you" as she left one of the buildings. Footage showed students sitting in front of a large banner saying, "Columbia's hands are stained with blood." As Clinton walked by, they shouted, "You support genocide."

The scenes also showed dozens of students chanting slogans at the former U.S. Secretary of State as she walked surrounded by several people in the hallway.

This comes less than a month after students from the university protested during a lecture by Hillary on the participation of women in peace operations. About 30 students stood up, gathered their laptops and backpacks, joining dozens of other protesters who had gathered in the university's lobby, protesting the US position on the war in Gaza.

On November 15th of this year, 43 organizations affiliated with Columbia University issued a statement urging the administration to "stop supporting the Israeli apartheid system" and to cease suppressing pro-Palestinian activity.

The statement included details of the crimes committed by the Israeli occupation in Gaza, including bombings of hospitals and schools, cutting off food and water, and killing thousands, mostly children and women. It emphasized that the movement aims to withdraw investments provided by the university to companies supporting the Israeli occupation.
