UN adopts resolution to combat Islamophobia

AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the adoption of a resolution by the United Nations General Assembly on Friday regarding "measures to combat hatred of Islam" and the appointment of a UN special envoy tasked with combating Islamophobia. Ministry spokesperson Ambassador Sufian Al-Qudah affirmed the Kingdom's support for promoting values of peace, harmony, tolerance, acceptance of others, and the rejection of extremism. He also highlighted all efforts aimed at increasing awareness of the values of mutual respect and rejecting extremism, bigotry, and hatred in all its forms, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
