Netanyahu added that he and Trump also discussed the implications of what he called "the major victory we achieved over Iran" and the opportunities it presents.

A 90-Minute Meeting

Prior to that, the meeting between President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu on the Gaza situation concluded at the White House. According to Al Arabiya, the meeting lasted for an hour and a half, during which the two leaders discussed various aspects of the Gaza file.

Meanwhile, Reuters revealed on Tuesday that Trump and Netanyahu differ in their visions regarding their ultimate goals in Iran, Gaza, and the broader Middle East.

However, sources from Al Arabiya confirmed on Tuesday that there is agreement on the entry point for humanitarian aid as part of the Gaza deal. Talks are now underway concerning the redeployment of Israeli forces within the Gaza Strip.

Trump Pressured Netanyahu to Accept a Ceasefire

A new Israeli report indicated that President Trump exerted significant pressure on Prime Minister Netanyahu during their second meeting within 24 hours at the White House to agree to a ceasefire in Gaza, according to the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.

New Round of Negotiations

It is worth noting that a new round of indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel began in Qatar on Sunday evening. The aim is to reach a ceasefire agreement after mediators presented a new proposal to both parties, reportedly based on a plan by U.S. envoy Steve Weiteckoff.

According to informed sources, the American proposal includes a two-month truce during which Hamas would release ten living hostages captured during the October 7, 2023, attack.

In return, Israel would release Palestinian prisoners in its custody, according to two Palestinian sources familiar with the talks, as reported by Agence France-Presse (AFP).
