The suspicions indicate that these acts occurred during a hazing ritual that lasted several weeks and allegedly included indecent behavior, according to the Israeli news site Ynet, affiliated with Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.

During the initial interrogation, some of the suspects claimed that the acts were consensual. The Israeli Air Force Commander, Major General Tomer Bar, is overseeing the handling of the incidents. The soldiers are expected to appear before a military court as the military prosecution requests an extension of their detention. (Agencies)
