Arab League Welcomes Sanctions Imposed by Five Countries on Two Extremist Israeli Ministers
Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, welcomed the decision by the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and Norway to impose sanctions on two extremist ministers in the Israeli government for their continued incitement to violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.اضافة اعلان

In a statement, Aboul Gheit described the move as an important step toward holding officials in the Israeli occupation government accountable for clear incitement to violence and for reinforcing a pattern of settler aggression against Palestinians with impunity.

He emphasized that the sanctions expose to the world—including the Israeli public—the extent of the criminal conduct by ultra-extremist government officials, which has led to war crimes and widespread violations of international humanitarian law in both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

Arab League spokesman Jamal Rushdi noted that the decision by the five countries is a crucial initial step toward restoring balance in the international stance on war crimes committed against Palestinians and toward taking concrete measures to hold perpetrators of violence and incitement to ethnic cleansing and genocide accountable.
