The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, affirmed that the European Union continues to deepen its relations with Jordan, following the Jordan-EU Summit held this year and the launch of the security and defense dialogue between the two sides.

In a post on her Instagram account after arriving in Jordan, Kallas stated that Jordan is one of Europe's closest and most reliable partners in the Middle East.
She added that she discussed with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides across various fields.
During joint statements alongside Safadi, Kallas emphasized that stability and peace in the Middle East are in the direct interest of the European Union and Europe, stressing that "the problems of our neighbors today become our problems tomorrow."
She added that the European Union is closely monitoring the turbulent developments in the region, highlighting the importance of working together to determine how to end this war and contribute to the upcoming phase of discussions and related political efforts.
Kallas reaffirmed that the European Union views Jordan as an essential partner in the region and is keen to maintain coordination and consultation with the Kingdom on various regional and international issues of mutual interest.
