The department emphasized that the Tax Settlement and Reconciliation Committee continues to receive settlement or installment applications electronically through its official website. This allows taxpayers to benefit from the designated exemptions and facilities according to the approved criteria, helping them regularize their tax status and clear financial liabilities incurred from previous years.

It explained that the settlement applications cover income and sales tax claims regardless of their value, including files that have received final judicial rulings, with the exception of cases related to the crime of tax evasion.

The department pointed out that applications are submitted electronically through a designated form on its website without any fees or costs, whether the application is submitted directly by the taxpayer or through their representative.

Furthermore, the department called upon taxpayers to take initiative and utilize the remaining period until the end of this June to settle their outstanding tax claims and submit applications based on the records and figures approved by the department. It noted that the committee reviews the submitted applications and makes the necessary recommendations in accordance with the established regulations and instructions.

It added that submitting applications does not require an in-person visit to the department’s offices, allowing taxpayers to complete their transactions smoothly and easily while utilizing the available electronic services under the tax settlement and reconciliation procedures before the deadline ends at the close of this month.
