In its session held today, Wednesday, and chaired by Prime Minister Dr. Jaafar Hassan, the Council of Ministers discussed support for the tourism sector and the stimulation of economic activity. The decision aims to encourage tourism to the Kingdom—particularly to the city of Aqaba—by attracting more airlines and increasing the number and length of tourist stays in Jordan. This will be achieved by reducing flight costs, thereby supporting the tourism sector and enhancing its contribution to the national economy.
