The Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth, Aqaba Development Corporation, Aqaba Facilities Management Company, and Aqaba Transport and Logistics Services Company, announced the completion of all logistical and technical preparations for a major public event at the Arab Revolt Plaza and its surrounding facilities in Aqaba.
The event will allow residents and visitors to watch the Jordan national football team’s match against Algeria in the FIFA World Cup.
ASEZA stated that the initiative reflects its commitment to providing citizens and visitors with the opportunity to support Al-Nashama in a festive national and family-friendly atmosphere, while celebrating the pride Jordanians feel in the national team’s participation in this major global sporting event.
The authority added that the match will be broadcast on a giant screen installed in the heart of the Arab Revolt Plaza, in addition to several supplementary screens placed throughout the square and nearby locations. These areas have been specially prepared to accommodate the largest possible number of spectators.
The arrangements aim to enable fans to enjoy the match and the event from multiple viewing points across the venue, supported by comprehensive organizational, technical, and logistical measures designed to ensure the site’s readiness and provide the best possible experience for attendees.
ASEZA emphasized that the selection of Aqaba as the host city for the event reflects its leading status as a tourism and national destination with the infrastructure and capabilities required to host major events.
The authority noted that holding the gathering at an open-air venue overlooking the Red Sea will provide supporters with a unique and memorable viewing experience in a safe and comfortable environment.
Residents and visitors in Aqaba have been encouraged to participate in the event and support the national team. The authority said that further details, including gate opening times, entry procedures, and attendance guidelines, will be announced in due course.
ASEZA also stressed the importance of adhering to the instructions issued by organizers and security authorities to ensure the success of the event and present a positive image that reflects the spirit of the national team, the city of Aqaba, its residents, and its visitors.
