Petra Region Authority: 595 Visitors to the City on the First Day of Eid al-Fitr

The Director of Tourism at the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA), Emad Hilalat, stated on Saturday that the number of visitors to the city of Petra reached only 595 during the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

Hilalat explained to "Al-Mamlaka" that the majority of visitors were tourists residing in Jordan, with their number reaching approximately 325 visitors on Friday.

He expressed expectations for an improvement in visitor numbers during the second day of Eid, noting that 300 visitors had been recorded by 11:00 AM.

He pointed out that while Petra is witnessing better tourism activity than during Ramadan, the movement remains very weak compared to previous seasons.
