The Land Transport Regulatory Commission (LTRC) announced on Thursday the expansion of scheduled public transport services between the Karak Governorate and the King Hussein Medical Center (Medical City), effective from Sunday, June 28. The Commission called on passengers to utilize the designated routes for this line, which will operate regularly from Saturday to Thursday each week.

The new expansion includes providing medium-sized buses with a seating capacity of 23 passengers per bus. Two buses have been allocated to depart from the New Karak Terminal, in addition to another bus designated to depart from the Al-Qasr Intersection route, aiming to meet citizens' needs and provide direct, safe trips toward the Medical City.
This service is part of the scheduled transport project, which began a year ago, and is originally equipped with intelligent transportation systems (electronic payment and surveillance).
The first route operates with two buses departing from the New Karak Terminal, passing through Al-Qatranah, Siwaqa, Al-Nahda Circle, the Eighth Circle, and Al-Shaab Circle, arriving at the northern gate of the King Hussein Medical Center. This route runs via two trips; the first starts at 6:15 AM and continues until 12:00 PM, while the second trip departs at 7:15 AM and continues until 2:00 PM, with a fixed fare of JOD 2.30 per passenger.
Conversely, the second route covers other vital stations, departing from the Al-Qasr Intersection at 5:15 AM and passing through the Al-Rabba Intersection at 5:30 AM. It then traverses the Lajjun Road and the Desert Highway, reaching Al-Nahda Intersection and the Eighth Circle, before arriving at the Medical City. The return trip for this route is scheduled to depart at 1:00 PM, with a fixed fare of JOD 2.10 per passenger.
