Sultan stated that the increasing demand for the dinar is driven by the heightened pace of economic activity in the Kingdom, particularly national exports, alongside remittances from Jordanian expatriates working abroad, which has boosted the demand for the currency.

He added that indicators confirm the coming months will witness a surge in exchange market activity with the return of Jordanian expatriates and the arrival of tourists from the Arabian Gulf countries. He pointed out the importance of these activities in supporting various economic sectors and the Kingdom's foreign currency reserves, which continue to register continuous growth at the Central Bank.

Remittances from Jordanians working abroad to the Kingdom rose by 13.3% during the first third of this year, reaching $1.6 billion. Meanwhile, foreign reserves stood at $27.2 billion at the end of last May, marking an increase of $1.7 billion from their level at the end of last year.

He noted that the financial and banking sector views the results achieved by the national economy since the beginning of this year positively, reflecting its resilience and ability to adapt in the face of external challenges, praising the significant efforts made by the Central Bank to maintain monetary and banking stability.

Sultan emphasized that the completion of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) reviews enhances confidence in the national economy and reflects the Kingdom's commitment to implementing well-studied reforms based on national priorities aimed at boosting economic efficiency and improving competitiveness.

There are 250 companies operating in the exchange sector distributed across the Kingdom, employing approximately 4,000 Jordanian men and women.
