Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi discussed on Thursday with Hungary’s new Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anita Orbán, ways to develop bilateral relations, in addition to latest developments in the region.

During a phone call made by Safadi to Orbán, the two ministers emphasized their keenness to expand bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest to both countries, building on the progress achieved in relations, both bilaterally and within the framework of the European Union.
The two ministers also discussed regional developments and efforts aimed at ending the escalation and achieving security and stability in the region, particularly following the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.
Safadi congratulated his counterpart on assuming her new responsibilities as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary.
Furthermore, the two ministers agreed to maintain coordination and communication regarding ways to strengthen the ties of friendship between the two countries, as well as on issues of common concern.
