Reuters: Israel on Maximum Alert in Anticipation of Possible U.S. Intervention in Iran

Reuters cited its sources as saying that “Israel is on maximum alert in anticipation of any U.S. intervention in Iran.”

Meanwhile, The New York Times quoted U.S. officials as saying that President Trump has been briefed in recent days on new options for launching attacks on Iran.

The officials confirmed that Trump has not made a final decision, but is considering issuing an order to strike Iran in response to the suppression of protests.

A military official noted that military commanders would need additional time to prepare for and counter any potential Iranian retaliatory strikes.
