Palestinian President Undergoes Osteoporosis Scan at Jordan Hospital, Returns Home in Abdoun

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas underwent diagnostic imaging tests for osteoporosis and a chest X-ray at Jordan Hospital on Saturday. He immediately left the hospital and returned to his residence in Abdoun.اضافة اعلان

Abbas is scheduled to depart for Qatar to attend the upcoming Arab and Islamic Summit.

Osteoporosis, or bone density loss, can occur due to uncontrollable factors such as advanced age, gender, and family history, as well as controllable factors like calcium and vitamin D deficiency, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, lack of physical activity, low body weight, use of certain medications such as corticosteroids, and chronic illnesses including kidney and thyroid diseases.
