Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that calls to end the war without eliminating Hamas only serve to strengthen the group’s position, delay the release of hostages, and guarantee a repeat of the October 7 attacks.

He emphasized that continued Israeli security control over the Gaza Strip remains one of Israel’s key conditions for ending the war — a condition Hamas rejects. Netanyahu asserted that Israel is determined to disarm Hamas, and that it will achieve long-term disarmament of the Gaza Strip by acting against any attempts at rearmament.
Netanyahu further noted that Hamas is demanding the opposite of Israel’s conditions, calling for a full Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, including from the Philadelphi Corridor and the buffer zone.
