U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters on Friday that the United States will reopen the Strait of Hormuz "very soon."
Trump also indicated that other countries have offered to help, though he did not specify which ones. "Other countries use the Strait. So, there are other countries offering to provide assistance, and they will help us," Trump said.

He added, "It won’t be easy... I would say we will open it very soon."
Tehran’s closure of the Strait since the onset of the Iranian war has caused the worst disruption to global energy supplies in history. The Strait serves as a narrow transit point for approximately 20 percent of global oil and liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments.
