His Majesty King Abdullah II held a meeting on Wednesday with several former prime ministers and senior officials to discuss the latest regional developments and the state's measures to mitigate the impacts of the war.اضافة اعلان

During the meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace, attended by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, His Majesty emphasized that "Jordan is fine and will remain fine," noting that the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army continues to protect the Kingdom from any threat.

Key Highlights of His Majesty’s Remarks:
National Security: "I have full confidence in our security agencies; the interest of Jordan and Jordanians is our first and last goal."

Regional De-escalation: His Majesty welcomed the announced ceasefire between the United States and Iran as a positive step toward halting regional escalation. He expressed support for Pakistan’s mediation efforts to reach a permanent agreement.

Maritime Safety: Stressed the necessity of reopening the Strait of Hormuz and ensuring international freedom of navigation in accordance with international law.

Gulf Security: Condemned unjustified Iranian aggressions against Jordan and the Gulf states, asserting that "the security of Gulf countries is the foundation of security and stability for the region and the world."

The Palestinian Cause: Warned that Israel has again exploited regional circumstances to expand the conflict. He emphasized that Jordan will continue to remind the international community of the urgent need to focus on the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza, warning against Israeli plans to annex parts of the West Bank or alter the status of Jerusalem’s holy sites.

Lebanon: Called for an end to the Israeli aggression on Lebanon and expressed support for the Lebanese government’s efforts to maintain security, stability, and sovereignty.

Strategic Preparedness: Directed state agencies to maintain high coordination to ensure the sustainability of safe strategic reserves of basic commodities amidst economic fluctuations caused by regional events.

The meeting included former prime ministers: Abdelkarim al-Kabariti, Dr. Abdur-Rauof al-Rawabdeh, Faisal al-Fayez, Dr. Adnan Badran, Nader Dahabi, Samir al-Rifai, Dr. Abdullah Ensour, Dr. Hani al-Mulki, Dr. Omar Razzaz, and Dr. Bisher Khasawneh.

Also in attendance were Abdel Ilah al-Khatib, Nasser Judeh, Mahmoud Freihat, and Hussein al-Hawatmeh, alongside the Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Director of the General Intelligence Department, and the Director of His Majesty’s Office.
