The head of the Al-Jiftlik Village Council, Firas Jahalin, told the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA) that occupation machinery demolished about 20 structures built from plastic, zinc sheets, and cement. Three of these dwellings were inhabited, and all were used seasonally by farmers who arrive in the area in September each year to work the land, tend to crops, and store necessary equipment.

Jahalin added that these dwellings provide shelter for farmers during their work period on their lands; however, as September approaches, they will find them demolished and gone.

He noted that occupation forces also issued demolition notices for about 40 permanent shelters belonging to livestock herders in the "Al-Da'isat" community in Al-Jiftlik.
