A Royal Decree was issued on Tuesday approving a cabinet reshuffle in the government of Prime Minister Jafar Hassan.
The decree reads as follows:

“We, Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, pursuant to Article 35 of the Constitution, and based on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby order the following:
His Excellency Eng. Walid ‘Mohieddin’ Suleiman Al-Masri is appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Local Administration.
His Excellency Mr. Muhannad Shehadeh Khalil Khalil is appointed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Economic Affairs.
His Excellency Dr. Azmi Mahmoud Mufleh Mahafzah is appointed Minister of Education and Human Resources Development.
Issued from our Royal Palace in Raghadan on 27 Safar 1448 AH, corresponding to August 11, 2026.”
The newly appointed ministers took the constitutional oath before His Majesty King Abdullah II.
Prime Minister Jafar Hassan and Royal Hashemite Court Chief Yousef Hassan Al-Issawi attended the swearing-in ceremony.
Earlier, a Royal Decree had been issued accepting the resignations of Eng. Walid ‘Mohieddin’ Suleiman Al-Masri, Minister of Local Administration; Mr. Muhannad Shehadeh Khalil Khalil, Minister of State for Economic Affairs; and Dr. Azmi Mahmoud Mufleh Mahafzah, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, from their positions, effective August 11, 2026.
