The Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform reported that Russian forces launched 962 strikes on the Zaporizhzhia region, resulting in one death and three injuries.
In the Sumy region, Russian forces carried out an attack using guided bombs and drones, injuring seven people, while five others were injured as a result of 10 Russian attacks on Dnipropetrovsk.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces announced the downing of 111 out of 133 Russian drones launched overnight.
On the other hand, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday that Russian forces conducted overnight strikes targeting military sites and centers in the ports of Izmail and Reni in southwestern Ukraine.
In a statement, the ministry noted that drones struck the command center of the Ukrainian Navy in the port of Reni, while also targeting a temporary deployment point for a Ukrainian Armed Forces unit at the port of Izmail.
The statement added that the port of Izmail houses infrastructure facilities used for offloading and storing military cargo.
In a related development, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported today that its air defense systems shot down 362 Ukrainian drones over several Russian regions overnight.
These developments come within the context of the Russo-Ukrainian War, which is now entering its fifth year, with military operations continuing on both sides without a clear horizon for a political settlement.
