Ukrainian forces targeted industrial and civilian facilities in the city of Nizhnekamsk, located in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, using drones on Monday. The attack resulted in 12 deaths and 39 injuries, according to local authorities.اضافة اعلان

The Presidency of the Republic of Tatarstan stated in an official release that the city faced a fresh drone attack, noting that intensive strikes hit industrial and civilian areas, causing casualties.

The statement confirmed that emergency and medical teams responded immediately to the aftermath of the attack, while the injured are receiving required medical attention following the dispatch of medical reinforcements to Nizhnekamsk.

Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of Tatarstan, ordered urgent measures to mitigate the impact of the strikes and provide full support to the injured and victims' families, while declaring official mourning across the republic.

For its part, the Russian Ministry of Health reported that 28 injured individuals, including a child, were transported to hospitals in Nizhnekamsk for treatment, while medical teams continue to evaluate remaining cases and supply necessary care.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 456 fixed-wing Ukrainian drones over Russian regions overnight.

The Russian Defense Ministry specified that the drones were downed over Bryansk, Kursk, Kaluga, Tula, Belgorod, Oryol, Voronezh, Rostov, Penza, Ulyanovsk, Saratov, Orenburg, Samara, Moscow, Krasnodar, and Tatarstan, as well as over the Crimean Peninsula.

The Russia-Ukraine conflict continues to experience escalating reciprocal strikes. In recent months, Kyiv has intensified long-range attacks against targets inside Russian territory, while Moscow continues missile and drone strikes against Ukrainian cities, primarily the capital, Kyiv.
