Arakchi: America's Biggest Mistake is Being Committed in the Strait of Hormuz
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi affirmed on Thursday that what the United States is currently doing in the Strait of Hormuz is its biggest mistake.اضافة اعلان

In a post written in English addressing U.S. officials, Araghchi stated: "The U.S. has always miscalculated due to intelligence failures; a prime example being the war on Iran."

He added that "misleading intelligence is worse than fake news, so beware," noting that "what the U.S. is committing now in Hormuz is the biggest mistake."

The Iranian official's statements come a day after U.S. President Donald Trump announced on his platform, Truth Social, that the United States has complete control over the Strait of Hormuz—a statement reflecting the sharp divergence between Washington and Tehran over the status of the vital waterway.

In this context, it is worth noting that Iran and the United States signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) last June, under which both parties were scheduled to conduct negotiations within a 60-day period to reach a final agreement. However, the fate of these talks has become uncertain due to renewed tensions between the two sides.
