Jordan sees 8.3% rise in same-day visitors during first seven months of 2026
The number of same-day visitors to Jordan increased by 8.3% from the beginning of the year through July 2026 compared with the same period last year, reaching 755,000 visitors.اضافة اعلان

According to Tourism Ministry data, the number of overnight tourists arriving in Jordan during the first seven months of this year fell by 2% compared with the same period in 2025, reaching 3.213 million tourists.

Meanwhile, tourism revenues reached approximately 2.47 billion Jordanian dinars, according to the report on the first half of the second executive program of the Economic Modernization Vision 2026–2029.

The total number of international visitors to Jordan reached 3.15 million during the first half of this year.

Tourist sites recorded 1.31 million visits, while 137 events were listed on the Calendar.jo platform.

Wadi Rum received 134,000 visitors, while Petra recorded 236,000 visitors. Aqaba recorded 298,000 overnight visitors from the beginning of the year through the end of May 2026.

The measures included identifying destinations eligible for support and signing an agreement with Royal Jordanian to support more than 60 air routes.

In religious tourism, authorities completed the identification and documentation of the Christian pilgrimage route and surveyed the land along its path, paving the way for further rehabilitation and sustainability work.

Preparatory work has also begun on the Battle of Mu'tah site in Al-Mazar Al-Janoubi.
