Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei affirmed today, Wednesday, that the Iranian armed forces are ready to defend Tehran, supported by officials and all the people, following U.S. threats to assassinate him and Israeli calls urging Iranians to overthrow the regime.

Khamenei said that Iran will not accept imposed peace or war, addressing the United States: "They should know that Iran will not surrender, and any American attack will have grave and irreparable consequences."
He emphasized that the Iranian people stand firm against the imposed war, adding that his country will not accept any imposed peace or war.
He pointed out that the Iranian people will not submit to any dictates from any party.
Referring to the American threats, he said, "Those who know Iran’s history know that Iranians do not respond well to the language of threats."
Khamenei added, "Iran will not forgive the Zionist entity for violating its airspace and will not forget the blood of its martyrs," as he described.
He warned Israel, saying it has made a grave mistake by attacking Iran, stressing that Tel Aviv "will face consequences for its actions."
