Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz vowed on Wednesday to strike and destroy more “symbols” of the Iranian government, following Monday’s bombing of the Iranian state broadcasting building.

In a post on the platform X, Katz claimed that “an Israeli hurricane is sweeping over Tehran—government symbols have been bombed and destroyed, starting with the state broadcasting authority, and will soon reach other targets.”
He further alleged that “as masses flee, dictatorial regimes collapse.”
Israel has long stated its intention to destroy Iran’s nuclear facilities and missile systems, but Katz has been increasingly explicit about targeting the Iranian regime itself.
His statement coincides with a series of widespread Israeli attacks on the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Israeli army spokesperson Efi Dverin said on Tuesday that the military struck the headquarters of Iranian state television because it was “spreading anti-Israel propaganda,” according to Israel’s Haaretz newspaper.
