It added that the soldier was serving in the Armored Brigade 401 and was evacuated to receive medical treatment.

Since the beginning of the genocidal war on Gaza, 898 Israeli soldiers have been killed and 6,190 injured, according to figures announced by the army on its official website.

With strict military censorship on the media in Israel, the army faces domestic accusations of hiding a higher toll of human and material losses to maintain morale.

Backed by the United States, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, including killing, starvation, destruction, and forced displacement, ignoring all international calls and rulings by the International Court of Justice to halt it.

The Israeli genocide has resulted in 61,430 Palestinian martyrs and 153,213 injured, most of them children and women, over 9,000 missing persons, hundreds of thousands displaced, and a famine that killed 217 people, including 100 children.

For decades, Israel has occupied Palestine and lands in Syria and Lebanon, refusing to withdraw and to allow the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on pre-1967 borders.
