The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that at least eight people were killed and 31 others injured in an Israeli airstrike early Thursday on the Ramlet al-Baida area along Beirut’s waterfront. This attack comes just hours after another strike targeted the heart of the Lebanese capital.اضافة اعلان

This followed a statement from the Israeli military confirming that it had carried out overnight strikes against Hezbollah targets in Beirut's southern suburbs (Dahiyeh).

Hundreds of displaced persons had sought refuge on the Ramlet al-Baida beach—adjacent to the southern suburbs—after receiving Israeli evacuation orders for their homes in Dahiyeh and southern Lebanon.

For its part, Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) reported that the strike targeted a vehicle in Ramlet al-Baida, resulting in casualties. The agency added that the attack coincided with Israeli drones flying at a low altitude.

Early Thursday, Hezbollah announced it had launched a "qualitative rocket barrage" targeting the Glilot base, the headquarters of Military Intelligence Unit 8200, on the outskirts of Tel Aviv.

The war in the Middle East expanded into Lebanon after Hezbollah launched rockets at Israel, coinciding with the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the first day of the U.S.-Israeli offensive.
